StatPlus 2009 is a powerful and flexible software solution that processes data to perform statistical analysis.
Features: With StatPlus 2009 is a set of statistical tools. The access is through a simple and straightforward interface. Wherever data needs to be statistically processed is an application area for this package. These include areas like sociology, financial analysis, biostatistics, economics, insurance industry, healthcare and clinical research, probability calculations for lotteries and gambling operations and so on. Though fairly sophisticated analysis carried out, the user does not need to have skills in those areas if his aim is to just get the analysis done. That is straightforward through the interface provided. Basic statistical operations include determining descriptive statistics, normality tests, T-Test/Pagurova Criterion/G-Criterion, Fisher F-test, correlation coefficients (Pearson, Fechner) and co-variation, cross-tabulation and frequency tables analysis. ANOVA including MANOVA, GLM ANOVA, Latin squares analysis are featured in the application.
Non parametric statistics features available are, 2x2 Tables Analysis (Chi-square, Yates Chi-square, Exact Fisher Test, etc.), rank correlations (Kendall Tau, Spearman R, Gamma, etc.), comparing independent samples (Mann-Whitney U Test, Kolmogorov-Smirnov test, Wald-Wolfowitz Runs Test, Rosenbaum Criterion; Kruskal-Wallis ANOVA, median test), comparing dependent samples (Wilcoxon Matched Pairs Test, Sign Test, Friedman ANOVA, Kendall`s Coeff. of Concordance) and Cochran test. Time series analysis features are available. Regression analysis features available include multivariate linear regression, logistic regression, stepwise regression, polynomial regression and Cox proportional-hazards regression. Survival analysis feature included are Cox regression, probit-analysis (LD50, LD50 SE, cumulation coefficient, LD100 calculation) etc. Its spreadsheet features: reads Microsoft Excel, StatSoft Statistica, SPSS formats, plots charts histograms, bars, areas, point-graphs, pies, etc.
Overall: A handy package for statistical analyzes encountered most often.
